On August 5th, I had the chance to cover the third stop of Henry Morris’ new Jawbreaker Tour in Dallas. The tour may have just started, but the performance already showed the kind of talent and energy that makes you want to see them live.
The set had so many moments that really stood out. “Church Bells” built slowly with haunting, echoing melodies that filled the room and held everyone’s attention. “So Romantic” was soft and intimate with layered instrumentation that made the audience sway together. “Guilty” hit hard with a driving rhythm and intense lyrics that had the crowd singing along by the chorus. Each song drew the audience deeper into the performance.
Bassist Cole Bobbitt and drummer Seamus Neal brought more than just sound to the stage. They added electricity to the performance with their energy and great stage presence. Bobbitt’s bass lines gave the songs richness and drive, while Neal’s sharp rhythms kept the momentum alive. Together, they matched Henry’s intensity and made the set feel even bigger.
Opening the evening was Ali Wolv, whose performance was bold and captivating. For only her third live show, she delivered an extremely impressive performance and immediately drew the audience in. She is definitely an artist to keep on your radar.
From a photographer’s perspective, concerts like this are special because they capture artists at an exciting point in their journeys. The Dallas stop of the Jawbreaker Tour was a reminder of why live music matters: the connection between the artist, the band, and the audience. One of the highlights of the night was seeing the band stay after the show to meet fans. You could see how much the audience meant to them, and it showed just how genuine and appreciative these artists are for their fans and supporters.
The Jawbreaker Tour is one worth experiencing, and I recommend anyone who has the chance to see Henry Morris and Ali Wolv live to go. It is a show full of energy, emotion, and talent that leaves a lasting impression.
