Twin Spell celebrated the release of their EP "Jamie" with their first show at Wayward Coffee Co, and the whole night had such a warm and inviting energy. The way they set up the space made everything feel personal. There were soft lamps glowing around the stage, rugs laid out, and little decorations on the tables that added a really nostalgic and cozy feeling. It felt like being in a room with your friends, just listening to music together. That atmosphere made the entire experience feel really special.
The EP includes “Jamie is Alone”, “Don’t Lie”, “Losing You”, “Azalea” and “Heroine”. I really loved hearing all of them live, but “Heroine” stood out the most for me. Listening to It almost feels like being in a scene from movie. The way the vocals are layered and build slowly gives the song so much emotion and makes you want to really get lost in it. I also loved hearing all the instruments like violin, sax, flute and guitars throughout the show because they added such a warm, layered texture to the music. Every song felt rich and warm and still held onto the softer moments beautifully.
From a photography perspective, the whole setup was perfect to shoot. The lamps created soft, warm light that made every moment feel cozy and soft. The rugs and small decorations added texture to the background. The instruments also brought a lot of movement and shape into the frames. The whole space photographed beautifully and matched the mood of the music.
The night felt genuine and full of heart. Twin Spell created an experience that was simple, warm and emotional in a really natural way. Their first show had so much feeling to it, and I am excited to see where they go from here!!
